It's the exact opposite here to last. The migration were romping away, the best I've seen. This year they are struggling more than any plants.
Most wanted list - Any Young Trachycarpus and/or fern.

slow here too.still have nothing on my nigra or vivax apart from some old culms from last year regrowing that are small.some nice thick culms on my chusquea and several now appearing on spectabilis.fargesia robusta culms around the 5ft mark but not that many this year.scabrida doing quite well but late like everything else.

nigra and vivax are the slowest for me as well, bisetti is the best performer closely followed by robusta.

Normally the bamboos in my garden have finished growing at this time of year, this year they have only just started.

Shanghai 3 now shooting with 5 thin culms.
