Lynne was someone from China, who spammed advertising in their first couple of posts.

I did see user was from China when the request came through, but as the spam checker did not have the email as 'spammer' I took a chance, as there may be genuine exotics lovers in China, sadly this was not the case so the account is deleted. :|

We have only ever had one genuine member from China, ALL the others have been spammers once on here.
Best regards
Dave

Well done Dave in deleting the account. What a cheek. Trying to use the forum to advertise commercial products

Now I am dubious about adding new welcomes,

I just did one but with a very strange feeling I might end up talking to myself again.

Sorry Jez but I can't tell one Troll or spammer from another...

In my own forum way back when I was dubious about banning IPs because if you ban say 194.192.0.0 which is UK then the danger is you ban the whole range...no new UK members.

No worries kata, i've had spammers trying to join my garden facebook group. It's blatantly obvious when (20 so far) completely random people from indonesia want to join a gardening group in the uk. I reject their join requests.

You have to be very careful who you allow, more so on Facebook Jez,

I do have an account there but rarely visit. I like Twitter but its now over run with Eurosport, BBC sport etc.

It was supposed to be about Bichon Frisé dogs...I block a lot of people.

I may start another Twitter page and leave them to it.

When I first saw this thread, the 'new member' had already been deleted so all I saw was your post Kata. I thought to myself 'yep, she's nuts'
Then I saw Kris had added an 'ay oop' so that proved it!
