Clear skies here as well and frost forming on the grass outside my side entrance.

My side entrance temperature shows +4c at the moment so zero is likely by dawn.

Had an excellent outlook this afternoon when Sand and I took the train to Victoria and got a superb view of the distant London skyline with a backdrop of totally clear skies behind the back edge of a clearing cold front. Knew exactly then what the outlook for this evening would be..... frost on the cars by the time I got home.

A small price to pay now for the way the weather is shaping up.

Clear skies persisted here all night allowing temps to drop to 1.3C. We didn't get a frost as the WSW wind averaged around 5mph with gusts to over 10mph, strengthening after 3am. BUT, it clouded over sometime between 6 and 7:30. Talk about the worst of all worlds. Clear skies from dusk to dawn, and cloudy from dawn to dusk icon_thumbdown

Think I'll have to rename Kent from 'Garden of England' to 'Cellar of England' Gonna grow mushrooms

Temps dipped below freezing at 20.40 and remained that way until 07.45 today. Lowest temp = -2.4c.

I'm starting to think that the kids wont see any snow this winter. Sad for them but not for me. The outlook right up to xmas is dry and settled and almost mild for the time of year.

it seems that if there is no freeze forecast it is excellent even if below LTA icon_scratch icon_scratch like most of the rest of this year.

With the November figures finalised the first 11 months of this year are 0.9C BELOW LTA icon_thumbdown
