Well definitely more spring like start to the week, calm, 8 c, should hit double figures most days, and the sun is out. :-D

I have a stupid test on Saturday and no sun on Sunday here, so no spring for me this weekend yet. Maybe I'll work from home on Friday to get some niceness...

Tonight I got in the garden for the first time since 8 Feb (was away in Brazil and got back this morning, but went to the office straight from the airport). The greenhouse was all broken into pieces, I cleaned it up and there is no greenhouse anymore. Another development is that the Iris reticulata are flowering. Tomorrow morning I'll see what it looks like in daylight icon_sunny

The damage was expected - it was a plastic blowaway GH, it's a miracle it lasted me 2 years. However, the whole set up was a bit complicated and took a while to complete - the back wall was lined with mylar and it had a solar fan, strings holding it together and concrete blocks to weigh it down. Now it's all gone and I don't think I'll be replacing it with another one, maybe I'll get a cold frame or something similar instead.

Spring is definitely here this week so far another glorious calm dry day icon_sunny

Does the cat paw those Leigh?

Otorongo the only thing that saved my plastic blowaway from the gales last week were four wheeley bins blocking it in, especially the super large green garden waste bin which i've left full for added weight for this purpose over winter

Those wheelie bins will also be useful if the wind tears your cover
