Even up here in the north mine looks similar.
I won't do it now but I still thought about hard pruning mine as it looks woody and untidy at the base.
Normally after winter it all looks crappe so I cut it back, I'm thinking it's too late now.
What do others do?

It does look very woody now and very dry .Some homeless guy was sleeping in it I woke him up . I use to cut mine to the ground every year .

Trying these from seed now, they have been sown for about 2 months but haven't had any luck so far. I do like these and like Karl lost one a while back and couldn't understand why mine died when everyone else was reporting theirs was growing.

Anyway, if my seeds decide to germinate, I shall be thrilled.
