Just a friendly heads up that a young guy called Robert/James Parsons (Fern Rob on here) is currently being reported to PayPal by numerous folk on Facebook after big issues with some plants he sold. Allegedly he has refused refunds when requested. He's actively blocking anyone who contacts him about the sales and has left the selling group on Facebook so he doesn't have to face the music. Avoid at all costs if you see him advertising anything.

Am really surprised as he was part of a team who wins a gold medal at Chelsea and tired to get a group of us to buy ferns wholesale. I would have trusted him.

"He was on Foundation degree at Askham Bryan College never got a gold at chelsea he just handed out leaflets. to be honest i am shocked to see him still in horticulture. He as no hands on experience. I have witnessed this first hand experience when i have see him try and lay turf and then trample all over it. wish i saw his post i would of told you all to avoid with caution"

I had that suspicion Arlon as he is quite young so can hardly have done much, but I had to keep an open mind. As a forum member of long standing I would have thought to trust him.

Blairs, like you i'm always happy to give folk the benefit of the doubt but for me ( and i know a lot of others) alarm bells were ringing very early on. I still hope he'll do the the right thing and give people affected their money back but i won't hold my breathe

I was really surprised when I read the thread on FB of the way he had treated people and was a bit saddened as I always thought he was a decent chap. I have no idea what the outcome will be but hope he will do the right thing and reimburse his customers, though somehow, from what I have read, I doubt he will.

Unfortunately it would appear he's taken people's hard earned cash and done one. He's blocked all the unhappy customers. I tagged him so he could have a chance to comment in the thread on facebook and he blocked me as well! I hope he doesn't have the cheek to appear on here anytime soon!...unless of course it's to explain he's reimbursed those who have dead/dying plants.
